My Sweet Savannah

Stopping in this gloomy Monday afternoon to share one of my very favorite blogs, My Sweet Savannah. Melanie, the mastermind behind the blog, has impeccable taste. Her sense of style and interior design makes swoon every time she publishes a new blog post.

A little while ago she posted a lamp DIY. And, oh my gosh, I love it. Go HERE to read how to do one yourself!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I will be back tomorrow with a great giveaway!

Annie Sloan is My Hero

Happy Thursday, lovecats! I am stopping in really quick to share two photos of a chair I restored. I will share more before and after photos of it next week. I also have a ton of photos to share with you guys of things I've chalk painted and distressed. My whole home is going to be chalk painted before long. Sorry I'm totally not sorry.

Modern Bathroom

We are (hopefully) starting our house search soon. Our apartment walls are slowly at a very rapid pace closing in on us. We've outgrown probably pretty much any two bedroom dwelling, so we are on the hunt for a three (fingers crossed for four) bedroom house. We would love to buy a fixer-upper home, something we could make our own. And hello, Property Bros, we love you guys and are open to your help in this process.

AnyshowonHGTVismyjam, I put together just a smidgen of my favorites from Modern Bathroom. They literally have the most gorgeous bathroom things. Ever. A girl can dream, right?

Be sure to check out Modern Bathroom on Facebook and Twitter for even more drool.

This post was sponsored by Modern Bathroom. Be sure to always take a quick minute and check out all of my wonderful sponsors. I only work with companies I'm compassionate about. Modern Bathroom is one of them.

Ollie the Owl and A Winner

Congratulations to Jaclyn Y. for winning the Lilla Rose giveaway. I will be contacting you this afternoon. Thank you all for entering the contest! There will be plenty more very soon!

Switching gears, last week I received a fabulous owl in the mail c/o Peace Pottery. I just fell in love with this little guy. I have always had a thing for owls. They are beautiful, intelligent creatures who, like me, love their night life. Yay partay. We decided to name him Ollie and welcomed him to his new perch on the T.V. stand. Home sweet home.

Peace Pottery's work is magnificent, as this owl clearly shows. Lindsay, the mastermind behind the pottery wheel, is a sweetheart. Her store on Etsy is pretty new, but she is churning out more stuffs as we speak. Check out some of her custom items on her Facebook page, here. I am lusting after her table settings and platters. ::swoon:: She is from my home state, so there are tons of Mississippi related items.

From magnets, to jewelry holders, to plates and mugs, these pieces of eye candy make amazing gifts. The prices are insanely reasonable, so while you are shopping for Aunt Beatrice's birthday gift, you might as well get something for yourself. It's a win, win type of situation.

Here is the photo shoot I did with Ollie. Enjoy!

Thank you Peace Pottery for my little Ollie. We loves him. You guys can purchase one of his siblings here.
