Happy Halloween Guys!

It's storming pretty hard outside right now. And it's supposed to continue throughout the day and night. Joy of joys. One thing I love doing is trick or treating in the rain. Not. But, Adrienne has been waking up each morning for the past month straight asking if it was Halloween or not. I can't let this kid down. So, we will brave the torrential downpours and go.

I wanted to share this year's photos of Adrienne from the pumpkin patch, plus the previous years, because, well, it's sad and amazing all at the same time. Time, you are a B word.

She was more into rolling the pumpkins more than anything.

Twiice Loved Giveaway [OVER]

Congrats Jesse! You have won a beautiful doll from Twiice Loved! I will be contacting you soon! Thank you to everyone who entered this giveaway!

It's almost Halloween! Eeek. I'm so excited. I'm ready to dress Adrienne up in her little bumblebee tutu. I totally gave her a high-five for being so darn cute in it. We also have a birthday party to go to this week, plus I'm having a huge moving sale to get rid of all my excessive junk. So, busy bees? Always. See what I just did there?

Anyhoney, I'm also excited to give all you beautiful readers of mine another amazing giveaway. I'm teaming up with Twiice Loved this week! Twiice Loved creates some of the most exquisite rag dolls in all of the land. Not only are these dolls pretty big (they measure 23" each!), their details are breathtaking. From removable fur coats to gold party dresses, these dolls have the glam. It seems only fitting that their level of fancy is so high, since they are handmade in London. I don't know what it is, but everything seems more glittery over in the U.K.

Each doll is hand-crafted from recycled and vintage materials. No two are alike! Compared to other rag dolls in the same field costing close to $200, cough Jess Brown cough, the prices of these dolls are pretty grand. Some Twiice Loved dolls sell for only $25 doll hairs. Twiice Loved even makes custom rag dolls!

These dolls are the perfect decor for any little princess's room, having that shabby chic, vintage feel. They also make great companions for that same little princess. I know Adrienne loves having tea parties with hers. Crumpets, anyone?

Now it's time for the giveaway! One lucky reader will win a doll from Twiice Loved.

For your chance to win, just log into the Rafflecopter below (or make a new Rafflecopter account), and follow the directions for each entry. Please make sure to actually do what's required for each entry. If you just click enter and not do what it's asking, I'll know. If you are unsure how to do one, skip it and contact me. I can't stress this enough. I go back and check to make sure the winner actually did what was required. I will not let cheaters win. DON'T CHEAT. Meh.

Rhythm Child

I'm still super busy in moveville and headed to paintvalley shortly. So, I'm stopping in quickly to share a guest poster with you guys, Mr. Norm Jones. Norm is an award-winning children's artist and motivational speaker.

I pretty much need a motivational speaker around me at all times whilst packing. Just saying.

Positive Thinking For Children
Norm Jones

In the first sentence of his best-selling book, The Power of Positive Thinking, author and self help guru Norman Vincent Peale writes, “Believe in yourself. Have faith in your abilities. Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. But with sound self confidence you can succeed. A sense of inferiority and inadequacy interferes with the attainment of your hopes, but self-confidence leads to self-realization and successful achievement.” These words have guided millions of people since they were written in 1952 and are the basis of a worldwide self-help movement that has flourished in recent years. The idea that positive input can result in a positive outcome is such a simple concept, yet it seems to have been forgotten and lost in our current state of fear, frustration, and hopelessness.

As adults, living with purpose has become increasingly harder to accomplish since we spend most of our days fighting against the social pressures and negative influences that have assaulted us since childhood. The messages that we are exposed to are not raising our own awareness, but instead numbing it with competitive thoughts of status and beauty. Fortunately, there is new spirit that is changing the direction of our social conscience and hoping to re-direct the fate of future generations by instilling more positive ideas in our children.

With the increased exposure to technology, the youth of today have the opportunity to instantaneously see images from the depths of nature and hear voices from around the globe. With our help and influence, they can process this information and start to learn very valuable life lessons at an early age that will set them on the path to successful achievement. Our culture is now moving so fast and furious that we can’t afford to wait until children discover these things for themselves like we did. It is now necessary to prepare our children on how to handle all of this stimulation. If we can somehow get them to entertain concepts like positive thinking and conscious living, then they will at least have a greater chance of developing into strong individuals who live with conviction and have courageous ideas.

This type of human education is directly related to the future of our world and our lasting impact on
the planet. We have now inherited the responsibility of sharing important lessons with our young and making sure they are aware of the importance of their thoughts. We need to pass on that there are so many discoveries that take place in life’s journey and deeper levels of understanding that can occur at all phases of that journey as long as we remain open and receptive. We should continually try and examine the things that unite us as humans and come up with ways to deliver those same ideals to our children so that they have the necessary tools to carry us further into the evolution of our culture.

I have always been an huge believer in the power of positive thinking, and practice it as much as my brain allows me to. I've even read and watched The Secret numerous times. Allowing your mind to have negative thoughts is very unhealthy. I do believe thinking negatively attracts negative things into your life. Thinking positively attracts positive things into your life. Try it. You will see a difference.

I love being able to share the practice of positive thinking with Adrienne. Children shouldn't have any worries.

Cajun Pumpkin Seeds Revisited

I'm trying my hardest to play catch up from us being sick for two weeks straight, but it's really not happening. William's great aunt passed away over the weekend and we are traveling today for that. So, send us some good vibes.

We also have a ton of other things going on in our lives with which being behind the 8-ball dampers. LIKE MOVING. We are officially packing up all our ish and moving out of our current jaunt. Movin' on up, to the east side. Champagne wishes and caviar dreams! Big Ballin'. Etc.

Anyhoo, my house right now looks like an F5 has hit it. There are boxes and newspapers and clothes and junk and pillows and toys and more junk, and did I mention junk because I need to reiterate it once more, covering every inch of our floor. I would take a picture, but TLC's Hoarders would most likely email me immediately, asking if I'd like to be on their show. No, no thanks... Oh wait. Huh? How much are you paying?!

So, while I work on my contract for Hoarders and try to tackle every other thing I'm behind on, here is yet another revisited post from last year. I made some super noms Cajun pumpkin seeds, and I pretty much would love to do them again this year, but doubt I will get around to it. We haven't even decorated for Halloween. Not even a pumpkin, let alone a carved one.

It's like lights out. NO CANDY. Sorry, kids, bypass our house this year.

Click HERE to find out how I made these. And click HERE to vote for my kid. Win/win for the both of us.

Bitty Baby Contest

My dear lovely readers, I need your help! I've entered Adrienne into the Bitty Baby Sweet Moments contest and need you guys to go vote daily for her. The contest ends October 25th! So, we basically have five more days to get all the votes in that we can! You can vote with up to ten emails per day (you might have to re-freshen your browser to do so).

Please, please, please, click HERE, and click vote. You will have to put in your email address, but you won't be spammed. Also be sure to watch the cute video of Adrienne singing and putting her Bitty to sleep. And I have no idea what she is singing.

I love clothes. My closet hates clothes. We have a love hate relationship. I also love gorgeous clothes at awesome prices. MaryJaneFashion, an online clothing retailer in the UK, has both. They specialize in bringing you everything trendy at a fraction of the cost. Oh, and they also have menswear!

Since fall is here and winter is right around the corner, check out all these faux fur jackets for women. Long skater skirts are also super hot items right now. Pair them with a chunky sweater and tights and you will be set for a comfy, cool night.
