DANCE
A few weeks ago we took Adrienne and her little frands to a free concert at the university. Free music is always a blast. Except when it's country music. Meh. I'm not a big country fan. At. All. But, Dierks Bentley put on a good show. Well, we lasted through the opening band and three Dierks songs. Then Adrienne had had enough. ::side eye:: She was basically my scapegoat. Baaaah.

GOOD TIMES
Hanging out at some frand's house equals homemade pina coladas and riding around on mini four wheelers. This was Adrienne's first driving lesson. She learned more about breaking than actually accelerating.

ART
We have been doing quite a lot of painting around here. And "marks" and coloring.

NATIVE
Seed bead shoes from Urban Outfitters circa last year.

PHRESH
We had a lemonade stand last month for the kiddies. It turned into a lemonade stand for the adults because two year olds aren't hustlers.

WINNING
A Mario Party with William. I, of course, dominated.

Party Overload

Hey lover loves. How was your weekend? Mine was jam packed. And I'm still tired. William's little bro came to stay the night with us on Friday. Adrienne is obsessed with her uncle "Buh." We had a little cook out and enjoyed our fam and frands. Have you ever had Chorizo sausage?! Um, talk about some nomz. I'm pretty sure my mouth parts are in love.

Saturday we woke up and I cooked a breakfast feast. Then we headed over to our friend's son's birthday party. He turned two and is absolutely adorable. Here are a few pics of the party, because I didn't take that many. It was one of those lazy-not-wanting-to-hold-my-camera type of weekends.

Weekly Wrap Ups

This weekend was a blast. Saturday consisted of beer, swimming, and grilling out.  We ventured over to a friend's house where we got our tans on and ate a ton of yummy foods. Adrienne  played with  choked some puppies (see pics below) and jumped on the trampoline. Oh, to be a kid again. We then came home, put the babeh to bed and had some alone time with candy, popcorn, and the movie Drive. The soundtrack was pretty killer. Plus, Ryan Gosling? Any reason to stare at him for an hour and a half is fine with me.

Father's day was a complete success. We did a whole lot of nothing. William slept in late, and I cooked a delicious lunch of breakfast foods. We watched movies with the kiddo and just enjoyed being a fam together.

Sorta switching gears to another topic I need to type about: I didn't realize I needed a degree in negotiating. It seems that I live with a tiny two year old terrorist. I hear that three year olds are much worse than two year old sized humans. I also hear Anderson Cooper is gay. I don't want to believe either.

I ask my child to pick up her ish, and it's like I have to bribe her a million times over. That's just to pick up her crayons. We haven't even gotten started on the rest of the mess. PICK UP YOUR TWENTY MY LITTLE PONIES BEFORE I THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE WHERE THEY WILL LIVE FOREVER. Adrienne just looks at me like I've lost my non Dora loving mind. OKAY, PICK UP YOUR PONIES AND YOU WILL SAVE THEM FROM THEIR IMPENDING DOOM. No dice. Adrienne, pick up your stuff right now and you can have one skittle. She obeys, I win, she wins. No one got attacked. I'm a push over. Tell me something I don't know.

But then, she says stuffs like,
suppa rebby (supper's ready)
eagles (bagels)
tangy (candy)
out-tide (outside)
mouse (mouth)

I know. "I has tangy in my mouse," gets me every time.
Adorbs little terrorist.

Here are a few recent pics. Enjoy.

New library books and cold Thai salad with ginger shrimpie salad for the wins. Adrienne's swimmie is Penelope Mack, my shoes are Givenchy, and above is a Dollar Tree please can I has it.

Libraries, Snow Cones, and Parks on the Reg

Ahh. Another week has come and gone. And it's already Tuesday. Geez. Slow down father time, slow it down. My kiddo is growing too fast. Meh. It's so much fun watching her turn into a little person, though. I mean, the things she says and does just about kill me. Like complete resuscitation needed.

I was putting her panties on the other day and she said, "Momma no teetee in deez panties, you hear?" I heard her loud and clear and about fell over laughing.

I rise and shine to her yelling, "D-up, Momma, mornin!!"

When she gets done singing her ABC's, she says, "Now I knows my ABCDE's." Um? There are no words. Besides straight adorbs.

She calls her bathing suit her "babe in soups." I just flat-lined.

Some other goodies:
"nakexx" for snake,
"qwok a dial" for crocodile,
"bee bee bee bee" for her bitty baby,
"peppor monie" for pepperoni,
and
"cool bus" for school bus.

Gosh. I just love this tiny bundle of plump joy.  She makes every day so incredibly exciting. Last Friday we took her to get her very first library card. I was more excited than she. Our library is great. They have a popcorn machine when you walk in the door. Stoked? That she was.

After getting some nom-noms, we headed to the stuffs for sale. Oh boy. We found five VHS tapes (is that the correct name, it's been so long) for 25 cents a pop. Toy Story, Bambi, Pocahontas, The Rescuers, and a dino movie. Score. Then we headed to check out some books. Adrienne was more interested in the toys than meandering around with me to find some good kid reads to bring home. I don't really blame her.

You can apparently check out all the stuffed animals and puppets to bring home. The puppet she was dragging around was a wolf that looked mangy and filled with germs. I told my child that I didn't feel comfortable bringing it home, because we didn't have enough Lysol to disinfect it. I said that as we were getting in line behind some kids, each holding a member of the possum puppet family. I guess the mom of the little possum adopting boys heard me and shrugged with a "I have no choice but to do as my kids say" type of look. I gave in. The wolf is now sitting in the corner of my living room. With hazard tape around it.

We ended up leaving the library with five classic movies, five new books, and that wolf puppet. Great success. Next stop was to get snow cones, a surprise treat from Daddy, then we romped around the park. All in all, it was a amazingly awesome day for the record books. We pretty much have to include this ritual into our lives.

Adrienne's shirt and leggings are from Target, her leopard vest is Toby NYC, and her shoes are Sun-San. My shoes are Jessica Simpson.

Don't forget to enter for your chance to win some hair accessories from Lilla Rose here. It ends Thursday!!
