I've conquered the kids gift list!! I just have to say that I love toys. That's why my child has a bedroom that rivals any toy store in town. If there was a “Pop Up Video” of her room, a bubble would pop up that just simply reads, “really?” So, there's that. And here's the list of the toys I like.
Baby Fat Fat
After putting up the tree and decorations today, I realized how fast this year has flown by. My little fashion queen is about to be two. TWO. I mean, I remember last Christmas like it was yetersday. Saying that remark also means I am getting super old, because I legitimately sound like a parent.
Anygrowingupislame, here are some photos taken of my baby this past spring by the talented Kate Anthony. Can I just squish my child back down to this and keep her for eternity? No? Darn.

Holiday Gift Guide: Chef Addition
My favorite time of the year has arrived. I have already done most all of my Christmas shopping. I'm good like that. Two steps ahead. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be scouring the net to find some perfect gifts. Today, I've compiled a list of drool-worthy gifts for a chef (or wannabe chef).
Gosh, the weather here. Two days ago it was 50 degrees, today 70, and right now it's pouring rain and cold. Then tomorrow SNOW is on the forecast. I have such a sinus headache from all this change. I'll probably get full blown sick. That's my pessimistic approach. Thanks Mother Nature. I'll just buckle up and let the chips fall where they may. My optimistic approach. Same. Same. The changing season calls for a change of purses. Here's what I chose and the junk that dwells in it.
-Cynthia Rowely Wrapped Leather Handbag. Very lady-like.
-Chapstick Cherry. I find these in the most random places.
-Lypsyl chapstick. Just got this stuff. It is made with pure beeswax. Hey-oh. It's very minty and smooth. I like it.
-Germ-X. You just never know when you want to fight off bacteria.
-Pampers Baby Wipes. I usually need them when they aren't with me.
-Louis Vuitton coin purse. Always.
-Ray-Ban sunglasses. Wayfarer. Classic
-Orbit Sweet Mint gum. Yum.
-Scunci Ouchless ponytail holders. Another newbie. They are jelly bands. Adore.
-Uni-Ball Vision fine point pink pen. I just think that color is the way to go when writing with flair.
-Random notebook I found cleaning my bedroom. True saying on the front cover.
-My vintage Louis Vuitton planner. I go, it goes.
-Georgia Theatre huggie. Some people call it a koozie. Coke, pop. Cart, buggy. It takes all to make the world go round.
Bell de Taco
So, I've slacked. Slacked real hard. I haven't even turned my computer on until just now. Thank you Thanksgiving, you were incredible. Great family, food, and fun. The three f's that a person needs (guess there could be more). I had a wonderful mini vacation. Now, back to the real world and the blogosphere.
Anyleftoverturkeyandstuffing, I'm done with that holiday and moving on. And switching up the menu. No more cranberry sauce. Ick. I made these taco pizzas after finding them on Pinterest. That site is the Holy Grail for cooks and crafters. They taste a million times better than Taco Bell's taco pizza, and those are my fav. These are pretty easy to make and still taste yummy the next day as leftovers. Ba da ba ba ba, I'm lovin' it. Opps, wrong fast food slogan. O. Well. Still applies.
1lb ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
8 small flour tortillas
2 tablespoons water
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
Small jar of mild salsa
Colby jack cheese
1 tomato (diced)
green onion (chopped)
oil (for frying)
-Mix together ground beef, taco seasoning, and water with your hands.
-Brown ground beef over medium heat until cooked thoroughly. I used the Pampered Chef Mix 'N Chop to break up the beef. That thing works wonders. I also put in some garlic powder and dried onion flakes. Set aside.
-Add oil into a frying pan. Heat to medium-high and fry tortillas one by one for 30 seconds (or until browned) on each side. Make sure to pop any bubbles that form while cooking. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
-Warm refried beans and pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Place four tortillas on a greased baking sheet. I used a foil lined one and forgot to grease it. The bottoms got stuck.
-Add the refried beans onto the tortilla, then a layer of the beef, then a layer of salsa. Put another tortilla on top of the salsa. Put cheese, tomatoes, and green onions on top. Put in oven and bake for 8 minutes. Yum. I'm hungry. Again.
