Valentine's 2015

I know I'm pretty late with sharing anything Valentine related (blaming pregnancy). But I'm stopping in right quick anyways on Valentine's Eve (what Adrienne calls it now) to share some Valentine's photos from around the house.

A few years ago, I made Adrienne an adorable felt letter holder to hold little daily happies in. It was super easy to whip up, and I blogged about it HERE.

This year, I've slacked on the daily happies (blaming pregnancy again), so the letter holder is more for decoration in our dinning room.

And here are a few other Valentine decorations from around the house. Adrienne made this little heart craft last week:

My girlfriend's kiddos made this super cute snow globe:

And we can never leave out a McCarty shell filled with candy for the corresponding holiday:

I hope you guys have a wonderful Valentine's weekend! I'll be back here next week with a great giveaway!

Oreo Bites [Revisited]

Ahhh! Just a little more than two weeks before Valentine's Day. I'm pretty down with the commercialized holiday. I love the pinks and reds, the flowers, and even the conversation hearts. And I especially love the chocolate. #chocolatesareforever

That said, Oreo bites are my go to Valentine's treat. They are ridiculously easy to make and taste delicious. I've made them the last few years, and they haven't failed me yet.

Oreo Bites
|| ingredients ||
1 bag Bite Size Oreos
3 tubs of Baker's Dipping Chocolate or Melting Chocolates
Sea Salt

- Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

- Follow the directions on the tub of dipping chocolate. You basically put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds. When it's fully melted, put a few of the Oreo cookies in and give it a good stir. Get a pair of tongs and take the chocolate covered Oreos out and place them on the cookie sheet. Don't leave the Oreo cookies in the chocolate too long. They tend to melt.

- Sprinkle sea salt on every 6 or so Oreos.

- Done.

Threads and Arrows

It's Friday. We have survived another week. Now it's time to get ready for our Super Bowl partay. But before I leave to go grocery shopping, I'll share with you one of Coffee and Cashmere's newest sponsors, Threads and Arrows.

Threads and Arrows is an Etsy shop that consists of the most adorable and affordable moccasins for the youngsters. Sure, there are other brands of moccasins out there, but some of their prices are pretty steep. Who can keep shelling out $50 + dollars every few months when your child's feet decide to do some more growing? Not this stay at home mommy.

Anystopgrowingrightnowkid, Threads and Arrows moccasins are only around $24 dollars a pop! And they come in some amazing styles and colors! These guys are super well-made and are easy to put on wiggly fee, too. My favorite part is that all the bottoms of the moccs are made from suede. That means they will hold up way longer with the walking tots.

Something about a tiny-sized human in moccasins gets me every time. Every. Single. Time.

Please always check out my awesome sponsors on the right side of my blog. I only work with the coolest of cool. If you'd like to advertise your business on my blog, shoot me an email at jade@coffeeandcashmere.com.

Eye Candy

I really need a sewing machine. Well, I do have my mother's old one in storage. It is a huge Singer that's so loud. I used to hide when Mom would use it. I should dig it out and see if I can brave the sound.

William's mom, Carol, is an excellent crocheter. That's something else I'd love to learn. I've heard that it's so relaxing. She has made our little fashion queen so many things. From her first baby blanket, to hats, to even a pint sized Santa purse. Love. Check out her Etsy shop or her Head Candy Facebook page. Adrienne's Mimi is one talented woman.

I almost wish we had another little baby to put that Valentine's hat and diaper cover on. Almost.
