Babouka Baby

A few weeks back, Babouka, an online clothing company, sent Adrienne an adorbs polka dotted dress to romp around in. Like I've mentioned before, this kid can wear red. And this dress will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Paired with tights and a fur coat? ::swoon::

Babouka specializes in unique, handmade children's clothes. This amazing company has created jobs for many women in developing countries. These talented women are the ones who hand stitch each of these beautiful garments! By being able to work, these woman are empowered and are able to help out their families. LOVE. THIS. IDEA.

"We at Babouka believe in bringing you a unique garment that is infused with the heart and the happiness of the talented women who have so lovingly made it. There are thousands of skilled women in the developing world, capable of making beautiful, delicately hand-stitched garments.

We at Babouka believe in empowering these special women by providing them with the support they need to work and to grow. Babouka supports the best working conditions for these women, including enabling them to work from home while raising their children, if that’s what works for them. We not only help them find a market for their talent, but support them under our brand by co-designing unique “east meets west” lines and helping them induct and train other women to promote female empowerment in developing countries. To honor these women and their culture, we have named all of our clothes after a place in their region."

I also have to mention that each clothing item also has a little pocket on the back shoulder. Why? I dunno. Adorable and original? Totes! AND each outfit comes in it's own little drawstring jute bag. Perfect for gifting. Ba da ba ba ba, I'm lovin' it.

I just want to thank Babouka for sending their beautiful Kiwani Dress
