Winsome Words Wednesday

These always help me get over the hump day. And believe me, I need all the help I can find.

I Spy

Today has been pretty much uneventful. I really don't have much to talk about. I started thinking how I haven't blogged about what's inside my purse in a long minute. So, here we go.

I, per usual, had no idea what was inside of it. As it turns out, the contents were just as boring as the day. Meh.

So, that's what's in my bag.

Super Food

Time to get ready for the Super Bowl. By getting ready, I mean getting mentally prepared to watch. I know. I know. I'm not an American. Okay. I really am. I do enjoy getting finger foods and desserts prepared. A friend wanted me to write a post about a delish dip I would have at our Super Bowl party. Since I have yet to go to the store to get any kind of supplies, here is a link to a post I made about the easiest, but yummiest dip ever.

Before I leave you readers to head to do some grocery shopping, here is another pretty easy dish to whip up. It would be great for the Super Bowl party. My sister made this for me and I loved it. Butter and Garlic? Yes. Please.

Chicken Roll Ups

|| ingredients ||
1 pkg of Chicken Breast Tenders (Boneless)
1 pkg Lunch Meat Ham
Sliced Provolone Cheese
Thyme
Italian Bread Crumbs
1 stick of Butter (More or Less)
Garlic Powder

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees

- Pound chicken breasts out. Place cheese on top, then ham. Sprinkle thyme on top of ham. Roll up. Hold with a toothpick. Sprinkle with more thyme.

- Melt butter with garlic powder. I use a generous amount of garlic powder.

- Dip roll ups into butter mix, and then dip into Italian bread crumbs. Place in a 9x13 baking dish, (I use my Pampered Chef Rectangular Baker, which is on sale right now! hey-oh) and pour some extra melted butter with garlic over roll ups. Cover. Bake for 45 minutes.

Happy Cooking!!

This Is A Man's World

Not really, but I do love some James Brown.

I have been getting a lot of discrimination from my guy friends, saying this blog is centered around everything feminine. I talk about chick clothes, girly crafts, and housewifey recipes. It's kinda like the personal ad writes itself. I can't help it. So, I decided to try to switch it up in this post. This is dedicated to the male gender.

Even guys need to sharpen up on staying in the lines. Pop open a forty, divvy out some crayons, and call it a day. Remember, color, color, pass.

A White Russian never looked so good.. Dude.

Because all guys "need" one. Learn how to build your own. Tools not included.

For the dubstep fans. I know there are a few.

Any sneaker that has a "fresh collar" in it's description, seems a-okay with me.

GUY CRAFT ALERT!! How insanely cool is this? If I had some coffee cans laying around, I would totes rig this up. Or, at least, make William.

If you are one of those people who are prone to dropping your phone in the toilet, well, this is for you. Just fish your life line out, wipe it off, maybe spray some Lysol on it, and you're good to go. Or, they claim you will be. You can test it first.

I Fell Asleep Amid The Flowers

So, today I was reading in an old Glamour mag and came across a new nail polish technique. I tried it out and loved the result. If you have some shimmer powder laying around, this is for you.

Pick out a nail polish color of your choice. Me? Revlon in 'Twinkled Pink'. Get a jar of shimmer powder and a makeup brush. I used some ancient Jane shimmer in 'Plutonium' from the early 2000's. What am I doing with ten year old shimmer powder? I. Have. No. Idea. I also used my Sonia Kashuk eye-shadow brush.

Paint two coats of polish on each nail. Dip the makeup brush in the shimmer powder and tap the brush over a nail. Repeat until you have each done. I blew my nails to get the excess shimmer powder off, then let dry for a bit. I topped with a clear coat. Hey-oh. It looks like a tiny pixie sprinkled fairy dust on my nails. You know the kind that live in buttercups? Those flowers that close up at night to house the fairies? No? Just me? O. Good.
