Shabby Chic Sunday Gift Guide

I have a thing for toys that are well made. I mean, I'd much rather spend a little extra money to get a wooden toy than a plastic toy that won't last a few rodeos. I'm also really big on imaginative play. With wooden toys, there aren't any batteries to make the toys move and talk. They don't need all that jazz. Wooden toys focus more on simple fun. It teaches kids to use the most of their imagination.

We have a good bit of wooden toys around this house. Two major brands I really love are KidKraft and Melissa & Doug. We have a few dollhouses and a party kitchen made by KidKraft. All of which my child plays with daily. Adrienne has learned her shapes and colors from her Melissa & Doug puzzles and plays for hours in her kitchen with Melissa & Doug pretend food. Okay. Not for hours. About half an hour. But even thirty minutes is a win for me.

So, getting the holiday gift guides started up, I decided to scour Etsy for my favorite wooden toys that would be perfect for any kid this Christmas. Enjoy!
