Hello 2014, Welcome to My Life. Part II

TGIF, dolls! I wanted to stop by with the second part of my yearly recap. Be sure to check out part one HERE!

I love April. It's my birthday month, and it's the start of gorgeous weather. I started off by sharing some awesome, sun-shiny photos of Adrienne wearing a tee from Once Upon a Story.

I blogged this oldie but goodie recipe from Adrienne's second birthday party, Rice Krispie ice cream cones!

I talked about being a straight sell out and painting birdhouses in this post.

I shared some super sweet photos from when Adrienne's Uncle "Buh" came for a visit.

I also teamed up with Skechers for an Earth Day post!

I teamed up with one of my favorite companies ever, Truly Sanctuary, for a great giveaway. You will need to check out their cool ish.

I hosted a great giveaway featuring Egg clothing. I love the colors in these photos. Light green foreves.

And lastly, I talked about the senseless act in Boston

I started May off by sharing some gorgeous photos of Adrienne with her Blabla doll

And then I also hosted a Blabla giveaway and turned the photos into a story.

We went to our first family baseball game. But sans the cracker jacks.

The sponsor highlight of the month was Plato Squirrel. This company is fantastic. And their quilts are to die for.

I shared a few Instagram photos in this post.

I modeled Wired Jewelry by Jenna. Don't laugh.

And lastly, this Winsome Words Wednesday post about losing family members.

June was a super huge month for Coffee and Cashmere. I got to work with American Girl. I've loved this magical company since I was eight years old! That's what Oprah would call "a full circle moment".

I also got to work with another amazing company, Freshly Picked Moccasins.

We had a little family visit. And some bookstore fun.

And I hosted a great giveaway featuring Lenny Mud. This spoon rest is still the best thing in my kitchen.

I shared photos of my recently enjoyed things.

And gave deets on this incredibly easy DIY cake stand! I love making these for gifts!

And last, but certainly not least, I talked about my bestie of TWENTY YEARS. Whoa. We really aren't that old. And oh hey blonde hair!

And that's the end of part two of my yearly recap.

Hello 2014, Welcome to My Life. Part I

It's time for the first part of my yearly recap. I love doing these things. It makes me go back in Coffee and Cashmere history to search for my fav posts from each month of 2013. Last year I did the first six months in one post and then another post with the last six months. This year I'm switching things up. I put together just the first three months. So, this will be part one of four. Enjoy.

I started last year off by sharing photos of our Christmas at William's grandmother's house. I always love it there. From the way she has it so beautifully decorated, to the abundance of pies and cakes, it's pretty magical.

I also whipped up a quick Valentine's DIY letter holder for Adrienne. No need to spend close to $30 on one from PBKids.

My favorite post of that month would have to be when I did a little question and answer with Adrienne. She murders me.

I shared photos of my trusty planner

I blogged photos of the baby shower I hosted with two of my friends. The shower theme was owls, and it turned out super lovely.

I hosted a few giveaways during the month of January, including this one from Nus & Lon.

I made a ridiculously easy and delicious Valentine treat called Oreo bites. You can't eat just one of those things.

And lastly, I shared some Instagram photos.

February was an unbelievable month. I found out I was mentioned on television! My absolute hero, Billy Eichner, gave me a huge shout-out on his show, Funny or Die's Billy on the Streets.

I whipped up some delicious balsamic dressing.

And these incredible stuffed strawberries.

We had fun outside on Groundhog Day.

And got TOLD by my tiny-sized human.

I hosted a great giveaway with Butterflies and Moonbeams. And took the most beautiful photos of Adrienne wearing one of their coats.

I wrapped up February by sharing two wonderful dollies. The first was from Mizy Me.

And then this dolly from Milipa.

 Holy Easter cuteness shown here.

I shared an adorable wooden pizza, perfect for a tiny wooden kitchen.

And then I shared a pizza recipe for the grown-up chefs.

I blogged about how Adrienne wouldn't sleep without a princess crown.

I also shared DIY Hello Kitty ears from Adrienne's second birthday.

And finishing up the month of March, I dyed my hair brown and posted some random facts about myself. Oh, and this awkward selfie.

Annnnd that's the end of the first part of my 2013 blogging recap. Phewww. Be sure to catch parts two, three, and four.

Matilda Jane Giveaway [OVER]

This giveaway is now OVER. Congrats Elizabeth C.! You have won a $50 gift card to Matilda Jane! A big thanks to everyone who entered this great giveaway!

Let me just say that long are the days where my child was a fat "baby fat fat" in super adorable smocked bubbles and dresses. Now she is a four year old cool kid. One that likes tee-shirts and not seersucker rompers. Well, okay, I still stuff her in smocked dresses on occasion, but before long, she won't like the clothes I pick out. She will want Birkenstocks instead of those cute Ked's, HAVE TO order from dELiA*s, MOM!, and she'll need a phone line in her room like her little life depends on it. Who are you going to talk to? Boys? NO! I don't know. Muh friends?

Okay, let's be real. That was me and not my Adrienne. Because, hello, landlines.

Anyhoo, I'm getting way ahead of myself. But, since I do still get to pick out Adrienne's clothes, (thank you sweet baby Jesus) I now choose Matilda Jane.

Matilda Jane is a little girl's clothing company that even caters to the tween age group. They also recently have started offering a selection of clothing for women. Another cool thing about Matilda Jane is that you can become a Trunk Keeper. That basically means you go to people's house, set up shop, and sell Matilda Jane clothes. Or, you can have a Trunk Keeper come to your house to have a Matilda Jane party!

Since these clothes are super well made, they last, and people will pay great money for used Matilda Jane outfits. After your kiddo has outgrown their Matilda Jane duds, you can resale them for close to retail price! Hey-oh!

Bottom line, Matilda Jane clothes are so ridiculously cute. There are so many different patterns and fabrics to choose from. The outfits can all be mixed and matched, too. Once you put your little girl in these clothes, you will get addicted. #anotheraddiction

The outfit Adrienne is wearing is from the Paint By Numbers collection.

Now you can enter to win a $50 gift card to Matilda Jane! For your chance to win, just log into the Rafflecopter below (or make a new Rafflecopter account), and follow the directions for each entry. Please make sure to actually do what's required for each entry. If you just click enter and not do what it's asking, I'll know. If you are unsure how to do one, skip it and contact me. I can't stress this enough. I go back and check to make sure the winner actually did what was required. I will not let cheaters win. DON'T CHEAT. Meh.

This giveaway is now OVER. Congrats Elizabeth C.! You have won a $50 gift card to Matilda Jane! A big thanks to everyone who entered this great giveaway!

And don't forget to earn extra entries by tagging your friends on the picture of this giveaway on Coffee and Cashmere's Instagram account (@coffeeandcashmerelove). Follow BOTH @coffeeandcashmerelove and @matildajaneclothing. Then tag as many friends as you want in separate comments on the giveaway photo! The more the merrier!

This giveaway will end Monday, January 27th, 2013. One winner will be picked at random via Rafflecopter. The winner will receive a $50 gift card from Matilda Jane. The winner will be announced on coffeeandcashmere.com and will also be notified via email. The winner will have ONE week to respond to the email to claim their prize. If a winner never responds, a second winner will be picked at random.

A big thanks to Matilda Jane for teaming up with me on this great giveaway.

Adrienne is also wearing Converse All Stars shoes and she's holding a Blabla doll.

Congrats to Jackson C. for winning my last great giveaway!

Christmas 2013 Snippets

Whelp, guys, I'm back. It's been a crazy, no wait, CRAZY past two months, and I'm so glad they are over. If you don't know something about me, it's this; I'm an absolute creature of habit. I despise change. I also love order. I like everything to have it's own place. I'm not a total OCD fruitloop, though. If stuff is messy, I'm okay with it. But when it's time to pick up, everything goes right back where it belongs.

So, when you throw the huge move into our new abode, plus Christmas, plus my kiddo's fourth birthday, plus dinner parties, I was pooped to the max. My anxiety level has actually just leveled out, most of my junk is unpacked and put in it's allotted spot, and the Christmas decor has been boxed back up.

#normalcy.

Anyhoo, I wanted to share a few photos from when we put up our Christmas decor and also when we went to our local Christmas parade.

There will be plenty more holiday snippets to come!

Valebella Jewelry Designs Winner
